AF tip of the week
This sounds obvious, doesn’t it?
Well, it’s actually not that easy. Many people don’t put themselves first. We often worry about what others will think, who will judge us, and how our actions will effect others…but what about us?
We’re the ones that we go to bed with and wake up with in the morning. We have to remember that putting ourselves first - especially in early AF life - is KEY to our success.
So - don’t go to the party if you’re not comfortable. Say no. There will be more parties, trust me. Leave events early. Don’t hang out with people or in places that might tempt you to drink.
It’s not worth it. Remember, right now you’re working on YOU. All that other stuff can wait. ❤️

I had a busy week last week (again), so now that things are finally starting to settle down at our house - I’m excited. Plus, the weather is cooling down and…
I LOVE FALL!
My son is in school (today is day 3) I still can’t believe I have a Kindergartener. I’ve been busy working on some writing projects and my husband went back to school too (he works at a high school). We’re all doing well! 😊 Here’s a pic from the 1st day:

This week I’m sharing answers from my friend Kezia. We met on Instagram and we’ve been friends for a while. She’s known for her motivational posts and her writing. She even does writing workshops! Make sure to check out her links after you get through her Q&A. 😊
1. Do you track AF time? If so, what is your AF date? If you don’t, why not?
Yes, I track my time in the I Am Sober and Sober Buddy apps! I don't check it every day but it's nice to have reminders of how far I've come, and motivation at my fingertips when I need it!
2. What is your “why?”
My "why" is to show up for myself and my loved ones with authenticity and presence. I want to be the best possible version of myself and the best role model for my daughter.
3. What’s your tip for the early AF days?
Listen to your body - sleep, nourishment, hydration, relaxation...all the good things! You spent years poisoning your body, now is the time to repair it! Also, start showing your face in the sober community, and make at least one friend who will hold you accountable and support you!
4. Favorite AF hobby?
Catching up on Zoom with all my sober friends around the globe, and taking my daughter to the library every Saturday.
5. How do you de-stress?
Meditation, exercise, listening to informative and motivational podcasts, cooking.
6. What's the best thing about living an AF life?
Knowing that I can trust myself and that my word is impeccable. There are no longer any shady versions of me, what you see is what you get!
